Emerald Alert exposes single women to an array of experiences and opportunities aimed at empowering them to manage their lives in ways to make them more self sufficient, more confident, more inspired, and more determined. To accomplish this, activities have included workshops, presentations, webinars, and trainings in financial literacy, health awareness (including physical, mental and emotional, social, and spiritual), goal setting, parental involvement, and self-care. Emeralds have also been involved in team work for the planning of a mini conference. The committee has utilized community resources and professionals, including health care professionals, financial groups, law enforcement officials, educators, and entrepreneurs. In addition, the Emerald Alert committee has included art awareness as part of the empowering focus for the Emeralds.
